The problem

Booking a spa appointment took 5–7 DMs and still sometimes fell through

The client's booking process was: client DMs → staff replies with prices → client asks about availability → staff checks manually → staff confirms or suggests another time → client confirms → staff adds to calendar. Each booking required 5–7 message exchanges, often spread over hours or days. Bookings fell through when staff were busy and replies were delayed.

What we built

A SendPulse chatbot integrated with Google Apps Script and Calendar

SendPulse Instagram chatbot — handles the full inquiry and selection flow, presenting services, prices, and available slots in a structured conversation.
Google Apps Script middleware — connects chatbot responses to the calendar and logs, handling the logic between platforms.
Google Calendar integration — slot selection writes directly to the calendar, with automatic conflict checking. Confirmation returns to the DM conversation.
The result

The entire booking flow happens in one conversation — no staff required

A client DMs. The chatbot presents services and availability. The client selects. The appointment is confirmed and logged. The staff member sees a confirmed calendar entry — not an inbox full of unresolved conversations. The process that took 5–7 messages over hours now completes in one flow in under two minutes.
